Super Thursday: France Host Ireland as 2026 Six Nations Begins

Date:

The 2026 Guinness Men’s Six Nations kicks off tomorrow, February 5. In a scheduling first, a “Super Thursday” opener will see France host Ireland in Paris. England, led by captain Maro Itoje (who also captained the Lions to victory in Australia last summer), will face Wales at the Allianz Stadium on Saturday.

With England currently on an 11-game winning streak under Steve Borthwick, the pressure is on the reigning champions, France, to stop a potential Grand Slam run before it even begins.
