Solberg Eyes “Double” as WRC Heads to the Frozen Forests of Umeå

Date:

Following a historic 1-2-3 finish for Toyota Gazoo Racing at Monte-Carlo, the WRC circus moves to Rally Sweden(Feb 12-15). Oliver Solberg, fresh off becoming the youngest Monte-Carlo winner in history, is the man to beat.

This year’s Rally Sweden features a revamped 300km route through the Västerbotten forests, including the new 27km Bygdsiljum stage—the longest in the rally’s history. Drivers will be hitting speeds of nearly 200kph on pure ice, relying on tungsten-tipped studs to stay on the road in temperatures expected to plunge to −20∘C.
