Devika Sihag Clinches Maiden Super 300 Title at Thailand Masters

Date:

The Indian badminton circuit has a new sensation. 20-year-old Devika Sihag secured her first-ever BWF World Tour title today, winning the Thailand Masters 2026. Sihag dominated the final against Malaysia’s Goh Jin Wei, leading 21-8, 6-3 before her opponent was forced to retire due to injury.

This victory follows a “giant-killing” week for the Haryana-born shuttler, who trains at the Padukone-Dravid Centre for Sports Excellence. Having already knocked out the top seed Supanida Katethong in the quarter-finals, Sihag is now projected to break into the World Top 40, marking the strongest start by an Indian shuttler in the 2026 season.
